Join us to gobble up information and more about Maryland’s Wild Turkeys, their current status and conservation efforts, and the first large-scale research project for this species ever conducted in the state. Over a three year period, nearly 200 hen turkeys were tracked using cutting-edge technology to gain insights into survival, movements, habitat use, reproductive success, disease, predators, and more. The results of this study, along with data from the MD-DC Breeding Bird Atlas 3, will help guide management of these magnificent birds into the future.
